Environmental commitment is a core value for Loop Dee Science.

Our company moved into new eco-friendly premises on 13 September 2022. This relocation was supported by the French Plan de Relance (recovery plan). It also allows us to bring all services together in the same site, located in the Koenig area of Bretteville sur Odon, Normandy.

Reducing our environmental footprint

To minimize our environmental impact, the building features reinforced insulation to lower energy needs.
Additionally, a double-flow ventilation system limits heat loss at entrances and exits.
A light detection system automatically turns off lighting when rooms are unoccupied, further saving energy.

An active and collaborative project

Our employees were involved in designing and arranging the premises.
Natural light is available on both floors.
The new facilities include a shower to encourage sports activity during lunch breaks.
A cafeteria combines individual and collective spaces, ensuring everyone enjoys their breaks.
Overall, quality of life at work is a main priority for our management.

Improving efficiency and production capacity

The new site strengthens our Research and Development department with laboratories dedicated to microbiology, chemistry, preparations, and machinery use.
Furthermore, the relocation increases our production capacity significantly.

Eco-friendly actions in place

Since our foundation, we have minimized chemical use.
We reduce business travel by encouraging conference calls and remote training.
We remain close to Normandy partners, including Caen University Hospital and the Cyceron group.

Next steps include reducing paper, installing a two-wheel shelter for bicycle commutes, and implementing recycling with potential composting.

The inauguration of our new research and development centre is planned for the end of 2022.
