Frequently asked questions about our LoopiX device

LoopiX processes one sample at a time. The device is designed to be paired with other units via a docking system, allowing you to build a genuine LoopiX hub and adapt your processing capacity to your needs.

Routine upkeep is limited to regular cleaning with alcohol, as with your standard equipment. Calibration and technical maintenance should be carried out once a year directly by our teams. Our support (Loop Dee Science or your distributor) remains available by phone, email, or by opening a support ticket, to ensure the continuity of your analyses.

Yes, LoopiX protocols are validated and guaranteed exclusively with LoopDeetect kits, designed by Loop Dee Science to work with the device.

Yes. With its compact dimensions (68 x 53 x 72 mm) and weight of just 141g, LoopiX easily fits in one hand. It can be set up on a bench corner, a workstation, or directly in the production environment, and adapts to any of your sites with no space constraints.

The device connects via Bluetooth or a USB-C cable. Using the device via LoopiX App does not require an internet connection. LoopiX Cloud, however, dedicated to managing and leveraging your analysis data, does require an internet connection.

The collected sample first goes through a lysis phase. It is then purified, before being placed on our LoopDeetect reagent. If the target is present, it is replicated using RT-LAMP technology. Finally, the LoopiX interprets the sample’s behavior to determine whether the target is present or not.

The device thus automates the lysis and amplification phases, easing the operators’ workload: time saved on the result turnaround, fewer manipulations, and more availability for high-value tasks.

RT-LAMP operates at a constant temperature, in a single step. It relies on 4 to 6 primers that recognize the target with very high specificity (versus 2 primers typically for conventional PCR). This approach delivers a fast, reliable result.

LoopiX performs microbiological detection based on the DNA and RNA of the targeted microorganisms. During the analysis, the amplification step replicates the target’s DNA or RNA strands. LoopiX then interprets the result: if amplification is detected, it means the targeted pathogen is present, indicated by a green light.

In short, LoopiX detects genetic material (DNA/RNA), for a microbiological analysis that is fast, sensitive, and suited to industrial quality control.

LoopiX provides a qualitative result, clearly indicating the absence or presence of a targeted pathogen. This approach is particularly well suited to quality control in the food industry, where the goal is fast and reliable contamination detection. To meet operational needs, several LoopiX devices can be used in parallel, increasing on-site analysis capacity and optimizing production food-safety processes.
